Having login issues @ rudeinternet? Below you will find a list of common problems & solutions: |
| LOST YOUR PASSWORD? Click here |
| Are you logging in at the correct place? http://rudeinternet.com/members/ Remembering that your info is CaSe SeNsItIvE |
| Are you being denied entrance or are you being re-directed when you attempt to login? There are three common causes to this problem listed below: |
| 1st possible cause: If you have logged in before successfully and is atleast one month since you originaly signed up, it may be that your subscription may have expired. It might be due to an expired credit card, insufficient funds a hold on your card some reason like that. Click here to see if your account has expired OR: If you would like me to check for you no problem, email me rudysrxs@hotmail.com and give me your username and or confirmation reciept number and I will be able to check to make sure this is not the problem or you are not being entrance by the 2nd possible cause of denied entrances (see below) |
| 2nd possible cause: Strongbox is a third party created and run program that protects my members area from hackers and other non-invited guests by monitoring all visitors to the site. This is done on the login page by use of your personal login info and the use of a secure login confirmation word. It's rare that an approved member such as yourself is blocked by strongbox, most blocks are due to members that have either gotten the security word wrong on multiple attempts, users that have shared their paswords (shared passwords result in cancelation w/o refund) or in rare instances valid users that login from multiple IP adresses. In the event you are a member in good standing (having no previous issues logging into the site) and feel there's even the remote possibility you may have been blocked please email me rudysrxs@hotmail.com and provide me with your username and I will investigate (and fix if neccesary) the problem for you |
| 3rd possible cause: And most likely if you are new to the site, or have recently installed any new security software on your computer. The problem most likely is that your system (most likely your fiewall) is blocking htaccess referal requests. Htacess is the script that protects the members area of Rudeinternet and many other sites with password protected areas Though you may not have run into this problem at any other sites in the past, it's a very common issue and must be corrected before you can access rudeinternet. Coreccting the issue now will also make it so you don't run into the smae issue at any other sites in the future. Simply put the script being sent to your computer from the rudeinternet server is attempting to communicate with your browser and a security program on your computer is reading this as security threat or an attempt to hack into your computer and is stopping the communication. It is a totaly harmless attempt to communicate and recieve one small snippet of informaton (non-personal) from your computer, in a nutshell the site wants to know that you are accesing it in a approved manner from an approved web adress (to make sure you're not cheating your way in) The blockage of this request causes your valid user info to be denied, don't worry this is a common and easily fixed problem. The most common culprit to cause this issue is norton firewall: all you need do is open up norton and choose privacy protection, then set it to medium level (or lower) then login again. This should now fix this problem, then once you've succesfully logged into the site you can now reset your levels to the highest security level if you wish (though in my experience it's not neccesary to have your privacy settings on the highest level, it prevents many sites and applications from working properly, normaly medium suffices fine) Once your firewall and privacy settings have dealt with the htaccess referal requests once, they will remember and it will not be a problem in the future. Other common programs that at times may cause this blocking issue might be windows firewall, ad blocking software and zone alarm. You'll have to check the help files on these programs as how to lower the privacy settings or how to temporarily disable them in order to login to the site but, as in past experience once you have logged in successuly once to the site with these types or programs in place, they will remember upon all subsequent logins and no longer block you. Just a heads up for those of you concerned with your firewall or privacy levels due to the threat to the safety of your system or your personal info: I don't play any games or do anything that could harm your computer or attempt to access your personal info. If it were neccesary you could surf my site all day long without any firewall of any kind, it's that safe.....though I can't say that about he rest of the internet, there's a lot of assholes out there. If you don't believe me, please feel free to check out McAfees' independent assessment of rudeinternet's safety rating |
| Also make sure your have cookies enabled: Your computer wil use a cookie (a simple bit of computer code) to remember your password information and other important info on my site and others. Some browsers and security software do not allow cookies to be set while surfing the net mostly becuase cookies can be used for bad purposes as well as good. Also make sure to add rudeinternet.com to your trusted sites list! |

Still not the problem? From time to time, the script protecting the password files may temporarliy go down or from time to time the site itself maybe down to either error (very very rarely) or server maintenance |
